Sorry, but there is no FoP in Italy. Dura lex, sed lex. 84.62.193.194 16:51, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The observation seems to me exaggerated, if not absurd. First, if we were to follow such reasoning, ALL pictures containing a modern building taken not only in Italy, but in all countries where no freedom of panorama is foreseen by law should be deleted (which is obviously not the case). Secondly, the picture does not depict the building alone, but it is rather a wider landscape of which the building is a mere - and not even dominant - element. Therefore, it is rather disputable whether the image represents a work entitled to copyright protection. Finally, the Italian law does not explicitly forbid it, but it is rather unclear on the topic. I suggest therefore a favor libertatis interpretation rather than sticking to a uselessly over-strict enforcement, especially when the case is clearly borderline, as in the present one. The author of the picture granted the use of the image with a valid license. I believe that's enough.--Desyman (talk) 21:45, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: Both Desyman and Jeriby are stretching -- the building goes across 95% of the image. And, yes, in countries with no FOP for architecture, we do not keep images of modern buildings.      Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 23:52, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
