This cup was created around 1935. While the image may be out of the 25 year copyright term for images, the term for the cup itself is 70 years pma and it is unlikely that the author died before 1946. .     Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 20:32, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Wrong statement. The Copa de Competencia Jockey Club cup was first played in 1907 and discontinued in 1933 (sources: RSSSF - 2.1 Copa de Competencia Jockey Club, and Argentine Football Association (list of cups played to date). Moreover, there is a Boca Juniors photo of 1919 where the team poses with the cup (first from left). Assuming the trophy was created that same year (1907) or even before, and the author remains unknown, the copyright term for anonymous works in Argentina has expired (+50 years), according to copyright Law 11,723 - art. 8°. - Fma12 (talk) 23:19, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Even if you are correct, and the cup was created around 1907, that is too recent to assume that its creator died before 1946. I doubt very much that the copy was actually created anonymously -- the fact that we may not know who the creator was does not prove that it is an "anonymous work".
And what would be the fact to determine if an author is anonymous work? I have been searching on the AFA website, old yearbooks edited by the association, and one of them refer to the author of this trophy. - Fma12 (talk) 10:45, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
