Derivative work of Commons logo which, despite being hosted on Commons, is not itself a free image. -mattbuck (Talk) 15:31, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So what would be the problem in changing the license? Images don't need to be in use to be kept (there are dozends of currently unused variants of wikim/p/edia logos on commons. --PaterMcFly (talk) 15:08, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that images are not required to be in use, but I fail to see any educational purpose for this. More importantly, it's a derivative work of an image the licence of which explicitly forbids derivative works. It's a copyright violation. -mattbuck (Talk) 15:31, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Delete Doesn't seem to have any educational purpose. Don't see how it fit Commons:Project scope. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 15:20, 31 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
