Town / municipality page indicates this is copyrighted. http://www.guaynabocity.gov.pr/post/guaynabos-city-hall/ -TEP Cookieman1.1.1 (talk) 20:30, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - File hasn't been taken from the city website nor based off anything on the website. The only thing viable that appears similar is the city seal. I would also like to add that the orginal nominators, User:The Eloquent Peasant, is aware that all Puerto Rican Coats of arms are in public domain since its original copyright has expired, especially since the user was the person who researched and physically contacting the Puerto Rican government on the topic. Also I would like to add that the file has been on the wiki for months, if it was an issue then it should have been marked instead of the user using it. --Cookieman1.1.1 (talk) 21:58, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Comment - There has not been any closure on the topic of whether the Coats of arms of Puerto Rico are in the public domain. We do not have a definitive answer on that. Many of the municipalities coat of arms were designed and created in the 1970s which is why you should use a "blazon" when creating one. --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 01:35, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Blazon wasn't used however nor was the original used from the website, if so it would literally be an exact copy. The website only features the municipal seal and not the coat of arms, because the coat of arms is in the seal doesn't make the arms necessarily copyrighted. I plan on making a Heralder version of the arms to replace the current one in case there is an issue.
Edit: @The Eloquent Peasant: Please look at the new version i've made now to avoid any future issues and let me know what you think :) --Cookieman1.1.1 (talk) 15:17, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Cookieman1.1.1: Both February 3 versions look good and don't have a copyright violation issue. I wonder if the admin closing this can just delete the first 3 versions and keep the last two versions. They look very good. Thank you. --The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 06:39, 13 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
agreed --Cookieman1.1.1 (talk) 21:43, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Delete because it's not based on the blazon, and therefore is not correct. This file is missing lion rampant over the fort's door as seen here:http://www.guaynabocity.gov.pr/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Escudo-Guaynabo-Transparente.png <-- this image follows blazon. -The Eloquent Peasant (talk) 02:14, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
