I can't find any proof of a Egyptian civil flag, and the fact that removing the Egyptian coat of arms would make it identical to the flag of close neighbour Yemen makes is especially suspicious. ~ Fry1989 eh? 05:39, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We use this flag in Egypt besides the official one, But i have no proof for that right now. So, I nominated the file for speedy deletion until i find any source.--Avocato (talk) 15:46, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Flags of the World mentions an Egyptian flag without eagle used (unofficially, I presume) at football matches, but doesn't give any sources. Alkari (?), 10 March 2012, 22:46 UTC
And when you go to their page for Syria, they mention the same thing, but they also state that as this would make it identical to Yemen's national flag, this is very dubious. Fry1989 eh? 23:18, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Keep it seems to exist one way or another. We should use the talk page to get a consensus on the description and the filename. --PierreSelim (talk) 10:42, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: The flag (not the image) appears to actually be in use, so we should keep it. Since it appears to be unofficial, I will rename it "Flag of Egypt without eagle" following FOTW's lead .     Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 18:52, 29 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
