- Keep Kermit makes up part of the image, should be De minimis if anything. Elisfkc (talk) 18:41, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
- Kermit is the objectionable component (one cannot generally take a picture of him and declare the result to be free, see Commons:Deletion requests/Derivative works of Sesame Street puppets for close precedent). Given the filename and context, Kermit is a substantial and key part of the scene. I have no objection to cropping out Kermit if the remainder of the image has COM:EDUSE. Who is the girl on the right, so that the file's description can be updated (and presumably renamed altogether)? There are a bunch of possible media representations of en:How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, the story featuring "Cindy Lou Who", but I can't find a Pixar one. Kept: per COM:DM. --Jcb (talk) 12:00, 25 September 2016 (UTC)
I am sorry but I have to re-nominate this file for deletion: The puppet is copyrighted, and it is one of the main subjects of the photograph (notably, it is used in three different wikis for that exact purpose). For this reason, it does not meet the requirements of the de minimis rule. Please see the most recent guidance from the WMF legal department here: meta:Wikilegal/De Minimis Use of Protected Works under US Copyright Law. Gnom (talk) 19:46, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
Deleted: per nomination. I agree Kermit is not de minimis in this photo. It can be cropped if somebody would take the trouble. In that case, please request for temporary undeletion on my talk page. --Ellywa (talk) 08:21, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
