Why is this a copyright violation? I've made the photo myself. How is it connected with the age of the sculpture? LoKi (talk) 14:00, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This is the stupid Russian law, Commons:Freedom of panorama#Russia, which says that if a monument or a building is still protected by copyright than the photo can not be used commercially does not matter what the photographer thinks. I fully agree that this is stupid and demotivating, but it looks that at this point we can not do anything about it.--Ymblanter (talk) 14:27, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
