I believe it is eligible under the following - --Cliffmore (talk) 08:24, 16 December 2020 (UTC)
This signature is believed to be ineligible for copyright and therefore in the public domain because it falls below the required level of originality for copyright protection both in the United States and in the source country (if different). In this case, the source country (e.g. the country of nationality of the signatory) is believed to be United Kingdom.
Note that this tag cannot be used on all signatures, as not all signatures are copyright-free.
See Commons:When to use the PD-signature tag for an explanation of when the tag may be used. |
Kept: per discussion. Kept. Signatures are in PD in the USA. The country of origin of this signature is the UK. When reading COM:SIG United Kingdom, in some cases, signatures can be considered copyrighted. In case of a similar situation - the signature of Lady Diana it is possible ("though debatable") that the signature is copyrighted. However, the signature of Lady Diana is available on Commons on the same PD licence, File:Lady Diana signature-vect.svg. Therefore I conclude that the signature of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge can be maintained. --Elly (talk) 20:25, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
