- author here. i posted that in my photo just because so many people were violating the cc-by-nd/cc-by-nc license i usually license them on, depending if i upload to wikipedia or not. should i be using another symbol? i'll reupload all the files on wikipedia that use the copyright symbol. Comment a copyright symbol (and a watermark) is compatible with a CC license, as example see one of our pages Template:Information, at bottom you can read "© John Doe". Furthermore a photo under a CC license is still copyrighted. If the uploader here is the same that the Flickr account owner then it is ok for us IMO.
