Possible derivative work, the work in question the car. The car serves no purpose other than race, therefore it has no utilarian purpose I eat bananas 101 (talk) 20:13, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

- @Alexis Jazz: Then how does utilitarian work? I eat bananas 101 (talk) 23:06, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
- @I eat bananas 101: pretty sure I linked this before: Commons:Derivative works#Isn't every product copyrighted by someone? What about cars? Or kitchen chairs? My computer case?
A "useful article" is defined as "an article having an intrinsic utilitarian function that is not merely to portray the appearance of the article or to convey information."
- I guess I should write an essay on this.. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 02:01, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Alexis Jazz: I support you in writing this essay. I eat bananas 101 (talk) 03:02, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
- Keep Photo in use in multiple probjects. Photo is of an automobile; previous policy has been that photos of automobiles are allowable on Commons. (If you think policy is wrong, I suggest challenging and suggesting a new policy, rather than challenging this particular photo which to me does not appear markedly different in any potential derivative effect than many other photos of race cars on Commons.) -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 05:23, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
- {{Vd}} :@Alexis Jazz: :@Infrogmation: The only thing that bugs me now is the fact that it has a terminator logo on it. Which makes this photo a Copyvio of sorts. I eat bananas 101 (talk) 01:22, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
- @I eat bananas 101: you don't get two votes, you already started this request. Actually deletion requests aren't really polls with votes, but you still don't get two votes. As for the Terminator ad, you say derivative work, I say de minimis. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 01:46, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Alexis Jazz: First you were against derivative works, now you support them? Seriously Alexis, this needs to...sigh... I eat bananas 101 (talk) 21:27, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
