This is a user-generated imaginary flag which never was used officialy, thus it has absolutely no historical value. Consequently, this file violates the COM:NOTHOST rule. -- Pofka (talk) 20:57, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
- Keep We are not a government project. Therefore, it does not matter to us whether it is an official flag or an unofficial one. --Лобачев Владимир (talk) 11:50, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
- Keep COM:NOTHOST provides a clear explanation of what is this rule about Wikimedia Commons is not a place to store your vacation photo collection. And historical national flag of Belarusians (be-tarask:Бел-чырвона-белы сьцяг) combined with the one of historical Belarusian emblems (be-tarask:Калюмны) is not the case, since it is realistic and educationally useful. --Kazimier Lachnovič (talk) 14:03, 20 April 2022 (UTC)
- This is not a place to upload user-generated fake flags without any historical significance and usage. It is as important as it would be with Teletubbies instead of the Columns of Gediminas. This flag is completely imaginary, so it clearly violates "all media must be realistically useful for an educational purpose" (COM:NOTHOST). -- Pofka (talk) 17:23, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- There are many fictional flags on Wikimedia Commons. For example, Lithuanian Battle of Grunwald flag 1410, where the geometry is taken from Teutonic Order unit banners, the Pahonia rider is taken from jagiello's tombstone of 1435, and the colors of the rider are taken from coat of arms of the modern Republic of Lithuania 1991. --Лобачев Владимир (talk) 10:09, 11 May 2022 (UTC)

Fake image ... not a place for personal photo... false propognda ... spreads misinformation ... SPEEY DELETION 2003:F2:6746:A800:85B1:FEA9:9AF3:3DD6 12:25, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- Comment I don't understand how a fake national flag could be useful. Could someone please explain? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:28, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- There is no any "fake" in this flag, because it combines historical national flag of Belarusians (be-tarask:Бел-чырвона-белы сьцяг) with the one of historical Belarusian emblems (be-tarask:Калюмны). For now this image is used by two articles in the Ukrainian Wikipedia, which in my opinion is quite enough to close this request. In any case there are many images uploaded in the Wikimedia Commons for design purposes only, which are not used anywhere and are waiting to be applied. --Kazimier Lachnovič (talk) 20:39, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- The Russian Wikipedia also uses this image.--Лобачев Владимир (talk) 21:24, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
- If those wikis are using it with accurate descriptions, then yes, we have to respect them and need to keep this image. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 06:43, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- Made a version in .svg format: File:Belarusian flag with Columns of Gediminas.svg. --Лобачев Владимир (talk) 13:40, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- Keep There's zero consensus that "fake" flags shouldn't be hosted on Commons. If the nominator really wants them deleted they should do an RfC about it. Although I doubt it would pass, but whatever. Ignoring the wider consensus by repeatedly nominating flags for deletion is just beating a dead horse at this point though. --Adamant1 (talk) 19:47, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
Kept: fake flags are not automatically deleted but often they have no educational value like other hoax images. Then they could be deleted as out of scope. But in this case, it is in use. --P 1 9 9 ✉ 18:57, 9 September 2022 (UTC)
