this is the exact version of my photo File:Anonymous Stephen Báthory (detail) 01.jpg unbelievable! such files without reliable source shoul not be accepted Artinpl (talk) 11:13, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, it is a cropped version and secondly it is a public domain. You did not create the painting and even if you took the photograph of the portrait, the laws do not apply. The name of the artist and location is in the infobox. The picture was cropped to remove a white flash spot on the canvas. If you wish to delete it then do so but just informing you that the spot reduced the overall quality of the file. Oliszydlowski (talk) 11:26, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Such shamefull, dishonest activity should not be accepted! We are community working here voluntarly and should respect each other. Source of the file should be properly given. The file is identical. Artinpl (talk) 11:41, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Keep I've corrected the source, and with the correct source there's no reason to delete the picture. --bjh21 (talk) 15:20, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Delete Duplicates and highly disputed works are subject to deletion. Artinpl (talk) 16:13, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Note that this file is not a duplicate of File:Anonymous Stephen Báthory (detail) 01.jpg, and is in use on ru:Список глав государств в 1578 году, which by COM:INUSE makes it ineligible for deletion on grounds of quality. --bjh21 (talk) 16:38, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Since there's no reliable source given by the uploader, and it's deifinately not an own work, how can you verify that it's not a copyrighted image? Images without proper source are also eligible to deletion. Artinpl (talk) 17:30, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a bit confused: you appeared to start this DR by claiming that the picture was an uncredited crop of your photo, but now claim that it should be deleted because it might not be a crop of your photo. Anyway, I've dealt with this by recropping it from File:Anonymous Stephen Báthory (detail) 01.jpg. Now there's no doubt about where it came from. If an admin feels that deletion of the older revision is warranted, that's fine by me. --bjh21 (talk) 18:04, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's not the first time as this user uploads an image which is a slight modification of an image already in Commons, without proper source and description. Waste of time for us all - e.g. Commons:Deletion requests/File:Kober Anna of Austria, Q Poland.jpg. Artinpl (talk) 19:27, 2 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: No valid reason for deletion. Artinpl is advised to avoid frivolous DRs. --Pi.1415926535 (talk) 22:15, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
