- Thanks for pointing that out. It is often complex to ascertain PD for art, especially where more than one jurisdiction involved. I spent some time trying to pin this one down. Somehow I thought that being in the collection of a public museum and being reproduced in books gave it PD status, also I was misled by the comment "inconclusive" under UK on Commons:Reuse of PD-Art photographs.
