Wrong picture for person, was not affiliated with Piratenpartij 85.147.85.64 12:23, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

 Comment The file source checks out: [1] --Rosenzweig τ 12:43, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep This list of candidates of the Piratenpartij from 2010 clearly shows Bas Koopmans as one of the candidates for a seat in the House of Representatives in the Netherlands. Vysotsky (talk) 12:46, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep, as per the above, and also this important point: Even if this person was not affiliated with the party, that would be a cause to recategorize the Commons file and correct its use elsewhere, never to delete the file outright. -- Tuválkin 13:24, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: no valid reason for deletion. --The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 19:47, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is my old photo, I was never affiliated with Piraten Partij and someone mistakenly took my photo from LinkedIN since I have the same name and put it on their site to end up here. Would greatly appreciate the removal of my picture 85.147.85.64 09:54, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment If this is true, it should probably better be handled by an e-mail to the COM:VRT. --Rosenzweig τ 09:59, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the suggestion, will try to contact the COM:VRT by email 85.147.85.64 18:30, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment, the person in the photograph matches with this person (original link 🔗) which doesn't show any connection to the Pirate Party, but information on this person online is extremely scarce as I can only find that they participated in a Hackathon way back in 2018 where they were photographed by Mark Vletter (who licensed another photograph of this person under a free license). In case that this photograph was taken by the Pirate Party without the permission of either the subject not the photographer this image would have to be deleted, but the nominator would probably show proof of this through the VTRS system (as advised above). Using both TinEye and Google Image Search I have been unable to find any copy of this image outside of the Wikimedia Commons, but the name does show up in many on-line search results related to the Pirate Party, but I also find dozens of men who share the same name. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 10:41, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This photo does show up on the archived Pirate Party web page, but it's visually inconsistent with all the other candidate photos on the site - as if the party had a photo shoot for most of their candidates, but this one couldn't show up so they used an online photo instead. Omphalographer (talk) 18:40, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes that seems the case probably someone from Pirate Party took my LinkedIN profile picture by mistake because I share the same name 85.147.85.64 18:27, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Delete as unused low quality personal photo. Hardly useful regardless whether the person is related to the party or not. Ankry (talk) 00:40, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
