We have a circular citation problem here. The image is in use. It may be old enough to retain. There is not sufficient information to chase down the source of the image. All "sources" I found were referring back to Wikimedia. https://www.thehistoryreader.com/historical-figures/the-social-history-of-heiresses/ Ellin Beltz (talk) 18:09, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comment I was able to find this in Getty Images at a higher resolution than we have, and is credited to the Bettmann Archive. I don't see a copyright mark on their image, so {{PD-US-no notice}} *might* be applicable, but we don't have the back of the photo to verify. howcheng {chat} 23:24, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Question Is this even an "American" image? With the Bettmann Archive, I wouldn't just assume that. The Getty description suggests it was taken in London. --Rosenzweig τ 09:23, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Good catch, {{PD-UK-unknown}} may be applicable. howcheng {chat} 19:41, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: Per nomination and discussion. There is insufficient proof this image is in PD, therefore the image must be deleted per COM:EVID. This photo is used on many projects pages. I replaced the photo on Wikidata with File:Barbara Hutton on a ship (cropped).jpg. That can be used on other project pages. Per community voting of Commons:Village_pump/Copyright/Archive/2017/03#Cut-off_date_for_the_PD-old_template and Template:PD-old-assumed a photo which is older than 120 years can be maintained. Therefore this photo can be undeleted 121 years after 1931 - in 2052. If you do not agree with my decision to delete the file(s), please ask for undeletion on COM:UNDELETE. If you do so, formulate your motivation why this image (or these images) can be maintained very clearly and base your motivation on the Commons policies. After that, another administrator will take a decision.. --Ellywa (talk) 10:08, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
