Invalid license. Probably a non-free image. License (Mil.gov.ua ) applies only to materials posted on the web-site Mil.gov.ua, Kursant504 (talk) 04:36, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- The image is taken from a video from the official social media site of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (i.e https://twitter.com/DefenceU/status/1654605507070402560). Works from a website, social media or YouTube channel of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
- The original source was a Telegram channel of the SSO of Ukraine but if that's the case the source has been changed to the one posted by the official social media site and is now covered by the liencense. LordLoko (talk) 00:51, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- Again: license (Mil.gov.ua ) applies only to materials posted on the web-site Mil.gov.ua, not on their social media. Needed link where this foto/video published at Mil.gov.ua. Kursant504 (talk) 10:24, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- For example license ((dpsu.gov.ua)) says "This file comes from the website or social media of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine and is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International". But license (Mil.gov.ua) didn't applies on it's social media. Kursant504 (talk) 12:40, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- ((Dsns.gov.ua)) - license is the same: "...from the website or social media...". But ((Mil.gov.ua)) is not. Kursant504 (talk) 12:44, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- Then why is mil.gov.ua different from dsns.gov.ua, dpsu.gov.ua or ngu.gov.ua? The prínciples should be the same, If anything, the license should be updated LordLoko (talk) 13:01, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- No, principals are not must be the same. It is mean that Mil.gov.ua adds his own media only at Mil.gov.ua. on social media they could use not-free media. You can write a letter to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and ask them to contact the Wiki to expand the license. At this moment, license ((Mil.gov.ua)) didn't applies on it's social media. Kursant504 (talk) 13:06, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, but why are they different then? If the law is the same? Is there a specific legislation you can quote? LordLoko (talk) 13:19, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- What "law" is the same?Kursant504 (talk) 04:34, 23 June 2023 (UTC)
- In a nutshell, how these licenses work: a license information must be posted on the site (or like a note at the bottom) that the materials are free (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International etc.). Sometimes, in addition, a the copyright holder (MoD of Ukraine) send a letter to the Wikimedia Commons services stating that it really allows the free use of materials from it's web-site. If we are talking about accounts on other web-sites, then, for example, there should be an indication on YouTube that the videos are posted as free (in the basic settings, all videos are not free). It should be the same on Twitter/telegram/FB: the account should clearly state that these are free materials (like here: https://web.archive.org/web/20220303014031/https://www.facebook.com/MNS.GOV.UA/about_privacy_and_legal_info), or the same in a letter to Wikimedia Commons. - Ok. I understand now. The thing I was talking is that Ukrainian law has images published by Ukrainian government bodies be under but I understand this licensing tag question is complicated. My question is: what could be done? I believe this images have an enourmous encyclopedic and historical value for their pages. LordLoko (talk) 17:16, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Try asking on forum. This is not the place for these discussions. In fact, now the license is incorrect and this photo is not free. Kursant504 (talk) 07:33, 26 June 2023 (UTC)

Deleted: per nomination, would need permission from Ukraine's government. --Abzeronow (talk) 16:59, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
