Another non-free image taken by Russians. See w:File:Atlantis Docked to Mir.jpg. Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 13:04, 5 July 2020 (UTC)
- I'm confused, you seem to contradict yourself here versus the deletion discussion you linked (which seems to have been intended to defer hosting to Commons, than for copylaw reasons). Which of the following statements are true, and which support the hypothesis that this is a public-domain file versus the hypothesis that this is an image in copyright (presumably by the Federal Republic of Russia)? - NASA's image gallery entry says credit goes to NASA.
- The NASA on The Commons listing says there are no known copyright restrictions.
- The archived version of the GRIN server confirms that these images are published by NASA, and are therefore not copyright protected, unless noted.
- The original
postingposting of the image on GRIN, archived does not have a copyright notice applied to the image. - A Wired article has an image credit of "Nikolai Budarin (Q641389), Russian Space Research Institute (Q1433237), NASA".
