This file was initially tagged by BU Rob13 as Copyvio (copyvio) and the most recent rationale was: Very obviously a selfie, but the claimed creator of the work is not the subject. Not an own work. ticket:2017092010020106 is related.
Converted by me to DR to allow for discussion and because image was uploaded already in 2007. -- Túrelio (talk) 20:23, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what the OTRS ticket says, so what's the idea of this DR? - Alexis Jazz ping plz 20:34, 19 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Alexis Jazz: I can't disclose what's in the ticket, but it isn't particularly necessary to understand the DR. It's a selfie by someone other than the uploader, so the uploader is not the copyright holder; the person who took the selfie is. It's a rather obvious copyright violation. The "own work" designation is false. ~ Rob13Talk 00:14, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
So the OTRS is not from Alida? - Alexis Jazz ping plz 00:18, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I can't comment on that one way or the other due to the signed non-confidentiality agreement all OTRS agents have on record. ~ Rob13Talk 13:29, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's rather important. If the uploader erroneously selected "own work" but you have a perfectly valid ticket from the photographer (assumed to be Alida), just fix the file page details. If the OTRS ticket is not from the photographer, well, I would see your point. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 06:00, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Alexis Jazz: Without comment on who submitted the ticket, it does not contain any attempt to release this content under a suitable free license. Of course, if I had a valid release, I'd just update the page accordingly as you suggested. ~ Rob13Talk 03:06, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. If the OTRS-colleagues deem the ticket-statement credible enough, then  Delete. --Túrelio (talk) 06:19, 20 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This picture was taken so long ago that I cannot recall whether she or I took it. Sure, the pose makes it look like a selfie, but I'm more inclined to think it wasn't. Morne (talk) 12:36, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've spoken to Alida and she'e conformed it wasn't a selfie. Morne (talk) 12:49, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@BU Rob13:  ? I must say, I know from experience it is hard to take a selfie with a compact camera like that Ricoh Caplio.. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 13:23, 22 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hold for a second. Waiting on a response to the OTRS ticket. I had nominated this based off of the picture looking rather obviously (at the time) like a selfie, but if there is a specific claim this isn't a selfie, I'll dig deeper. ~ Rob13Talk 01:56, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@BU Rob13 and Alexis Jazz: I left a note in the ticket. It is not a matter of copyright, but of personality rights apparently. --Ruthven (msg) 08:15, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Ruthven and Morne: I can't see that ticket, but if the issue is that she would prefer a more flattering photo (not saying this one isn't, but it's a bit odd looking like a selfie while it isn't), perhaps a new one could be taken? - Alexis Jazz ping plz 08:59, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Besides that the photo is not essential to our projects, as it illustrates a "person" in all pages where it appears but one. By that I mean that it can be easily replaced. --Ruthven (msg) 14:21, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: seems to be OK according the discussion. --JuTa 17:46, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
