Comment The guy, an italian general, was quite a fascist. War criminal even, responsible for many ferocious massacres in Yugoslavia during WWII. But he didn't pay for his crimes, God knows why. As practically no one of the fascists apart Mussolini and some few others (around 700 instead of 70.000 at least). The so called democratic republic of Italy started on 1946 with all the members of the fascists establishment at their old places (public administration, army, civil service, justice, police) as nothing happened. And they held the power until retirement. You can imagine how democratic it was that republic.
