Work by still living artist and no Commons:FOP#Qatar exemption; thereby a copyviolating derivative. -- Túrelio (talk) 13:31, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Same problem with:

First, the artist is dead. Second, images are the property of the artist and Qatar Museums Authority and I am allowed to post them. I have the verbal approval of the project manager. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yacinelhichri (talk • contribs) 14. Juni 2012, 08:46 Uhr (UTCTúrelio (talk) 06:58, 14 June 2012 (UTC))[reply]

"artist is dead" - when did he die? en:Richard Serra doesn't know of his death.
That is not enough. We need a written permission for the images from the rights holder, which is likely the artist and not the museum. See Commons:OTRS for details. And please sign your comments. --Túrelio (talk) 06:58, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: There is no evidence that Richard Serra is dead. He regularly registers his copyrights on his USA works, so it is doubtful that he has transferred copyright to the Qatar museum. We should not accept OTRS permission from anyone except Serra himself.      Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 17:49, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
