Copyright violation - the image bears name of the author. As there seems to have been only one notable photographer with such surname at the time, it is highly likely that this "Reeksts" refers to Jānis Rieksts who died in 1970 ~~Xil (talk) 03:59, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
- It seems you are right, that this image most probably is taken by Rieksts. Many thanks for this observation, it had slipped my attention - and, it increases the value of the image, which is in my collection, manyfold. Philaweb (talk) 11:26, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
- It should be in the public domain in Russia at least. I'm not sure how to define the source country of a work like this (Latvia was a part of Russia when it was published) or how US copyright works. See COM:VPC#Copyright and dead states. --Stefan4 (talk) 19:29, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
