1927 German coins, which may be PD. No license for the photograph of the coins. Abzeronow (talk) 01:22, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- Comment For the coin as such, we could use {{PD-US-expired}} and {{PD-Germany-§134-KUG}}. PD-Germany-§134-KUG is a very tricky template with several requirements (all of which are met here IMO):
- Can only be used for works published for the first time before 1966. -> 1927, so ok
- Those works must be at least 70 years old. -> 1927, so 97 years old, ok
- A personal author/artist MUST NOT be named on/in the work. -> I don't see one, not even initials. (The F means it was produced by the mint in Stuttgart.)
- A corporate entity of a specific kind (a legal entity under public law, de:Körperschaft des öffentlichen Rechts (Deutschland)) MUST be named on the work. -> Deutsches Reich is named on the coin.
- The remaining question is if the photo is the uploader's own work or not and if yes, if we can get a proper license tag for it. --Rosenzweig τ 10:54, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
Deleted: per Rosenzweig the coin itself seems out of copyright, but the sourcing of the photo is dubious, attributed only to "private source". --Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 15:06, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
