This marker is dated 2013, so it will be under copyright until 1/1/2064. .     Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 13:54, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Jim! In the Philippines, all markers by the National Historical Institute (now National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP)) are created and funded by the Philippine government. Under existing Philippine laws, all creations by the Philippine government cannot be copyrighted (but cannot be used for profit). So I think this historical marker is not under copyright. (Also...the marker is dated 1913, not 2013.) Thanks! --- Titopao (talk)
  • I'd also like to mention: in the Philippines, the year etched on NHCP markers indicate the year it was installed. So in this particular case, the marker was unveiled in 1913, the same year that the Rizal Monument was formally opened to the public. --- Titopao (talk) 02:42, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Keep It is a photo of the marker text, which is as Titopao says not copyrighted by its creator (the government of the Philippines). It also includes an emblem, which is presumably equally government-created and therefore not copyrighted. Ijon (talk) 02:49, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: Withdrawn by nom per discussion. .     Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 11:59, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
