This file was initially tagged by Jcb as no source (No source since)... which is correct, but the image is apparently from 1887 (newspaper steel engraving). I am hoping that someone else is able to find the source of this image, as I think it's an important one due to the changes in Massachusetts law which resulted from this disaster. Ellin Beltz (talk) 04:22, 8 September 2016 (UTC) P.S. Please see New York Times article about it if interested http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=9F04E6DE1630E633A25756C1A9659C94669FD7CF, although it is unlikely the Times is the source of the illustration. - Do we have any evidence that this drawing was published at least somewhere before 1923? If so, this would save the file. Jcb (talk) 15:21, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, http://www.jphs.org/transportation/bussey-bridge-disaster-feature-news-account.html ... http://static1.1.sqspcdn.com/static/f/14305/836204/1180050803737/Bussey-Bridge-1.jpg?token=w12z6Ox6fxMShAF2A1l9gD0Z2B4%3D ... which includes more of the front car. Also please see the photo http://www.bobdward.com/bob-d-ward-print-production/2012/2/13/bussey-bridge-train-disaster-125-years-ago-next-month.html ... from which this drawing was likely derived in 1887. What I can't find is the exact crop we have here, so perhaps that was done by the wiki uploader. Ellin Beltz (talk) 16:55, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
- Ok, no reason to delete then. (The crop itself won't establish new copyright). Thanks! Jcb (talk) 17:38, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
Kept: resolved. --Jcb (talk) 17:39, 8 September 2016 (UTC)
