 Comment It seems to me that the PRC copyright should be used, since the Central Daily News is a PRC newspaper and they probably used their staff photographers. On the other hand it doesn't matter (IMHO), because in both PRC and ROC the copyright for anonymous works expires 50 years after first publication. @Hedwig in Washington: According to "en:Central Daily News", it is a ROC media stationing in Taipei, Taiwan, and the file has a Watermark of Taiwanese National Repository of Cultural Heritage (NRCH, Ministry of Culture), which says "Reproduce and commercial use of all NRCH contents displayed through any media way is prohibited... which can only be viewed on this website" (

Hmmm..., I guess we can assume ROC copyright only. Should be PD after 50 years. The newspaper can restrict the use of material, but it doesn't change any active (c)-law. Keeper in my book. --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 04:28, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
