Violation of artists' copyrights. The Russian Wikipedia importer did not review the underlying copyright of the sculpture. The artistic work shown is the Salaspils Memorial Ensemble, opened in 1967 and authored by architects Gunārs Asaris, Oļģerts Ostenbergs, Ivars Strautmanis and Oļegs Zakamennijs, as well as sculptors Levs Bukovskis, Oļegs Skarainis and Jānis Zariņš. The seven authors are unlikely to have died for more than 70 years. As Latvia does not allow commercial freedom of panorama, this commercially-licensed photo is an outright violation of the artists' copyrights.
