Shanghai is the largest city in China and is divided into 19 districts. It is located on the coast of eastern China at the mouth of the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang), and borders the provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang.

Several also include the former districts of Luwan and Nanhui and should only be used in historic contexts.
