File:Roman Maniple Spacing.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Deletion nominations of legionaires
[edit]Hi, I am contacting you regarding several files you uploaded of Roman legionnaires that you copied from a computer game. I wanted to emphasize that while Commons is a great place for storing and displaying media, you must be careful not to upload the copyrighted works of others, even if you give them full credit for their work. You may only upload works which are either explicitly in the public domain, which do not qualify for copyright protection for some reason, or which you yourself have created and for which you are the sole source. Images taken from a computer game, unless you make significant artistic modification to them, do not fall in any of these categories. I hope this helps clarify things for you— Commons cannot host copyright-protected materials, which will include virtually any image from any computer game ever made. Thank you for helping with compliance with this policy. KDS4444 (talk) 18:59, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
