Weapons of Honour
[edit]Hello,
Weapons of Honour are not quite the same thing as ceremonial weapons. Weapons of Honour were given to deserving soldiers during the Revolution, at a time when medals were considered too Ancien Régime; ceremonial weapons are part of formal uniforms, irrespective of individual actions. At best, Weapons of Honour are a subset of ceremonial weapons, but with a specific meaning. Would you mind if I undid your editions in that respect?
Cheers! Rama (talk) 11:39, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
ː I disagree with your changes. They are not specific to France. --Glarnerwolf (talk) 10:39, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
- No specific to France is very likely, but this is still not the same as ceremonial weapons (a subclass of ceremonial weapons at most). Do you have an idea on how to proceed? Maybe a "Ceremonial weapons" -> "Honourific weapons" -> "Weapons of honour of France"? Rama (talk) 11:48, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
