Any image under Japanese copyright law made before 1946 is public domain. Since Yamasaki died in World War II, the photo definitely predates 1946. Thus, it shouldn't matter if we don't know who took the picture or owned it originally. It's automatically public domain under Japanese copyright law. It's also public domain under U.S. copyright law because the U.S. government confiscated all Japanese military photos during the post-war occupation and put them in the U.S. National Archives as public domain images. Englisch ist bevorzugte Commons-Sprache, aber nicht die alleinige. Bitte überschreibe anderssprachige Beschreibungen nicht mit der englischen, sondern ergänze sie um diese. Sysop-Election

Hallo ABF, zu meiner Stimme bei deiner Sysop-Wahl ein paar Worte auf Deutsch, damit wir uns nicht missverstehen. Ich denke, dass du langsam durchaus das Potential hast, dich einmal zu einem guten Sysop zu entwickeln, ich denke aber, dass du noch nicht reif dafür bist. Alleine der Umstand, dass du mich um eine Stimme gebeten hast, zeigt mir, dass du noch nicht reif dafür bist, die erweiterten Benutzerrechte zu erhalten. Vertraue einfach darauf, dass die Leute dich schon wählen werden, wenn du ihnen durch gute Arbeit auffällst. Die Sache mit den Lizenzen kann man lernen und auch da gibt es in der Regel unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten heranzugehen und manche Dinge sind einfach Auslegungssache. (Das Beispiel von Bdk war es nicht.) Ich hab dir geschrieben, du solltest "cooler" werden, damit meine ich, dass du vor allem noch lernen musst, dich in bestimmen Situationen richtig zu verhalten. Ich sage bewusst nicht erwachsener, da es genügend Erwachsene gibt, die sich nicht so verhalten. Du kannst als Sysop in schwierige Situationen geraten, die manchmal auch ungewöhnliche Lösungen erfordern. Es ist manchmal sogar möglich, dass du als Sysop die geltenden Regeln etwas arg weit auslegen musst, um eine Situation zu bereinigen, dann kannst du nur darauf hoffen, dass es keiner merkt oder deine Kollegen dir schon vertrauen. Und ich glaube nicht, dass du schon dazu in der Lage bist, solche Situationen alleine durchzustehen. Dr. Shaggeman 12:13, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Flickr Review

Is it required to include it for each image uploaded from Flickr? I ask every single author of the images I upload if I can use their image and then include a copy of the permission on the talk page. Bildqualität

Obwohl ich es bereits mehrfach zum Ausdruck gebracht hatte: Die Bildqualität ist unterirdisch (z. B. Image:VeloTaxi-abf-.png). Der Nutzwert geht gegen Null. Man muss übrigens auch nicht seine Duftmarke im Dateinamen lassen, ein Dritter wird die Dateien schwerlich verwenden und auch möchte man sie nicht in einer gepflegten Kategorie/Galerie sehen. Zur "Duftmarke" möchte ich dich ganz dezent auf aka hinweisen, bei dem das niemanden stört. Diese Duftmarke (*lach*, das könnte mein Lieblingswort werden) bietet nämlich 2 Vorteile:

• a.) Ich muss nicht suchen, obs das mistding schon gibt

Hallo ABF, danke für deine schnelle Reaktion. Ich hatte doch die richtige Lizenz angeklickt. Dann aber wollte das PC-Biest nicht laden, und ich habe wohl eine unlizensierte Ausgabe gespeichert. Was soll ich jetzt machen? Könnte es sein, dass ein korrektes und ein nicht-korrektes Fotos jetzt existieren. Könntest du dann eines löschen? Habe die 1. großzügigste Lizenz gewählt. Inzwischen habe ich das Bild erneut hochgeladen, allerdings mit einem veränderten Namen, weil der Ersatz der Datei bei gleichem Namen zwar angekündigt war, aber nicht erfolgte, werde mich wegen des Löschens kümmern. Hello,

you are about to delete the picture "seraphim.jpg" i added to the page about Seraphim de Sarov. In fact, this picture comes from the russian wiki(Изображение:Serafim.jpg), but as i could not place it directely from the russian wiki, i had to download it and upload it again in the commons. As i understand nothing about the copyrights, i do not know what to do with this problem. please check it, and if you can, place the right words in the right places... i am quite new on the french wiki, and do not understand all.

Ich wusste, dass das 'Du willst es zu sehr' kommt. Ich hatte mir überlegt, ob ichs gleich in die Nomination schreibe, aber ich habs doch gelassen also führe ich das hier mal kurz aus, wenn du erlaubst. Ich habe mir vorher Tagelang überlegt 'Fabian, das ist viel Arbeit, viel Stress und viel Druck, willst du dir das und die Schlammschlacht in der RfA nochmal antuen?' ich habe hin und herüberlegt, u.A. habe ich an den berühmten Satz von Jimbo gedacht 'Beeing sysop is not a honor, but a hard Job' (Nicht ganz Wörtlich, aber so ähnlich wars) Ich bin zum Entschluss gekommen, dass mir unsere Projekte und ihre Ziele wichtig sind und ich mit erweiterten Rechten mehr mithelfen kann, u.A. da ich in diesem Bereich stark tätig bin. Desshalb habe ich mich entschlossen mir dass nocheinmal anzutuen.

Den Guten Grund gebe ich dir selbstverständlich auch. In der letzten Zeit war ich viel in der Eingangskontrolle unterwegs. Ich habe fast täglich Bilder die unlizensiert waren getaggt, falsche Beschreibungen gefixt und so weiter. Jedesmal wenn ich jemanden hatte, dem ich das Lizensieren einfach net beibringen konnte musste ich erst im IRC fragen wer 'meinen neuen Timmy' sperrt. All soetwas und vieles anderes könnte schneller gehen wenn ich die knöppe hätte. Ich würde mich auch sicher nicht sofort in irgendwelche Bereiche reinwerfen wo ich noch nie aktiv war. Alles in allem glaube ich, dass ich mit den Knöpfen mehr für unser Projekt tuen könnte.

I believe that by an error in my document, "User:Langton" has been used in the title instead of "Francisco Gimeno Catala" which is the correct title.

The previous error produces that "User:Langton" was "born in 1949" when it would have to be "Francisco Gimeno Catala".

What must I do to correct it?
