Regarding Hindi, Urdu in West Bengal and Hindi in the rest of India

[edit]
@Kwamikagami: Hello - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:35, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hindi is official across India, just as Urdu is across Pakistan. Kwamikagami (talk) 04:24, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Kwamikagami: , That's incorrect. Hindi is not official across all Indian states. I've provided link in the second point above. Check it please and change color to something else for those States and UTs.
Secondly, Urdu is one of the official languages of West Bengal alongwith Hindi, so West Bengal's color need to be changed to Orange. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:30, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please correct the articles 'India' and 'Hindi' on WP, then, w refs, so I can justify removing Hindi as an official language of India. Kwamikagami (talk) 20:45, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Kwamikagami: What to correct in [1]? If you are referring to this map in the article then I've to clarify that it is based on largest number of speakers and NOT official language. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 12:05, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Jharkhand

[edit]

Kwamikagami Hi,

en:Jharkhand has been color coded on the map as having Urdu as an official language. From what I can see on the English Wikipedia article this does not seem to be the case. Can this be fixed? Also en:Bihar appears to be problematic as Urdu is the official in less than half the districts of the state and en:Delhi where it is an "additional official" language (same case with en:West Bengal which isn't color coded).

Additional official language seems to be fine to color code; in Jharkhand it isn't official; Bihar is up to you. Gotitbro (talk) 17:26, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the report you cited to add Jharkhand (where again Urdu is an "additional official language"), that's fine but in that case West Bengal should be color coded as well. Gotitbro (talk) 17:50, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In newly formed union territory of Ladakh only Hindi is the one of three official languages ! so orange cooler should be removed.--2A0A:A546:FE72:0:54CC:2677:FB3C:97D 19:43, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
