==Labels==

I added labels for the diagram on the file's page. I apologize if that was the wrong way to go about it or if my labels are wrong. For the most part, the labels are copied from a single article on the English Wikipedia. However, articles differed on whether B was dentin or cementum. From my research into the topic, it seems like it is often confused in diagrams. My conclusion is that the B is located too high to be cementum, and therefore it is dentin. I think that cementum should be just to the right of J (just as a good place to label it, not as the total area of cementum). From what I read and saw, cementum is found beneath the gum line on the root portion of the tooth and covers the dentin like the enamel does on the crown portion of the tooth. The best structure for it in the diagram is the thin yellowish layer between the pink subepithelial connective tissue (gums or gingiva) (D) and the orangish dentin (B).

In addition, it might be nice to have letters and labels on File:Cross sections of teeth.svg. It has more structures to label, and I think that it is easier to orient things in your mind when at least half of the tooth's structure is there (width, not depth). However, there are downsides to virtually everything, and if you do not need the rest of the tooth's structure because the article is not about it, there is a good case for cropping. -- Kjkolb (talk) 12:23, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
