Heavily treated image: delete or replace?

[edit]

This image has been too heavily treated, to the point where significants aspects of the rainbow phenomenon were lost:

  • the darker patch of sky between the 2 bows, known as 'Alexander's dark band';
  • the wider and much fainter nature of the outer bow;
  • the soft transition from the outer bow to the outside.

Compare with untreated version here [1], as well as other images in Category:Double rainbows.

I shall nominate it for deletion, however a better option would be its replacement by the untreated image.

Original untreated image uploaded from my archive. Please note that this is a reduced resolution version (but better resolution than the Flickr version of the same image mentioned above). I am going to state that I feel the above anonymous poster is being far too pedantic here as the image which is nominated for deletion does not pretend to be anything other than it is—treated. Still, I have remained within the spirit of the above posters request and provided a "replacement by the untreated image". OTRS have been informed --Senra (talk) 12:58, 19 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
