| Description |
English: Rock group called Petrified Chateau, natural monument of Žďár Hills. A tourist trail of the Czech Tourists' Club (blue signage) to the locality. View of a moat above a group of rocks. Příkop was part of the fortification, originally built in prehistoric times, also used as a fortification in the Middle Ages. Photo-location: Czechia, Vysočina Region, the town of Svratka, a group of rocks called Petrified Chateau (azimuth 55°).
Čeština: Skupina skal Zkamenělý zámek, přírodní památka Žďárských vrchů. V místě turistická trasa Klubu českých turistů (modré značení). Pohled na příkop nad skupinou skal. Příkop byl součástí opevnění, původně vybudovaného v pravěku, sloužil i jako opevnění ve středověku. Poznámka: Vrcholová část krátkého vedlejšího hřbetu, pohled zhruba na severovýchod, ve směru hřbetnice, vybíhající z hlavního hřbetu geomorfologického okrsku Borovský les, mezi vrcholem Karlštejn (783 m n. m.) a Bubnovaným kopcem (780 m n. m.). Podle archeologických nálezů v ranném středověku hradiště vybudované Slovany. Ve 13. až 14. století v místě snad dřevěný hrádek, zřejmě k ostraze stezky podél řeky Svratky (doklad o jeho existenci všal chybí).
