English: The Tuareg in the Oued Samene region use these round huts, called zeriba, as dwellings and storage huts. They are usually clad with reeds and supported by branches. Many dwellings in Tanarine have foundations made of loose stone slabs. The household goods hang high up, well packed and protected from the prying eyes of others. They are also better protected against the dust that blows through the huts during sandstorms. Such a dwelling or storage hut is not torn down when the family moves away, but is later occupied again by the same family.
Deutsch: Diese Rundhütten, Zeriba genannt (Seriba gesprochen), verwenden die Tuareg im Gebiet des Oued Samene als Wohnstätten und Vorratshütten. Meist sind sie mit Schilf verkleidet und mit Ästen abgestützt. Viele Wohnstätten in Tanarine haben Grundmauern aus losen Steinplatten. In der Höhe hängt der Hausrat, gut verpackt und vor den neugierigen Augen anderer geschützt. Dort sind sie auch besser gegen den Staub geschützt, der bei Sandstürmen durch die Hütten weht. Eine solche Behausung oder Vorratshütte wird beim Wegzug nicht abgebrochen, sondern später wieder von der gleichen Familie bezogen.
Français : Ces huttes rondes, appelées zeriba, sont utilisées par les Touaregs de la région de l'Oued Samene comme habitations et cabanes à provisions. La plupart du temps, elles sont recouvertes de roseaux et soutenues par des branchages. De nombreuses habitations de Tanarine ont des fondations en dalles de pierre détachées. C'est en hauteur que sont suspendues les affaires domestiques, bien emballées et protégées des yeux curieux des autres. Ils y sont également mieux protégés contre la poussière qui souffle dans les huttes lors des tempêtes de sable. Une telle habitation ou hutte de stockage n'est pas démolie en cas de départ, mais réoccupée plus tard par la même famille. |
