Summary
[edit]DescriptionWater channels, River Nadder near Teffont Evias - geograph.org.uk - 902640.jpg |
English: Water channels, River Nadder near Teffont Evias. The River Nadder flows behind the stone wall, see 488295. The overgrown channel or ditch heading towards the wall is one of a number of similar features close by. These may be connected in times past with fishing as the Nadder is a clear chalk stream with abundant fish, with the irrigation of the river water meadows, or with water conservation since this river has always been particularly affected by low rainfall. |
