Italiano: La villa vista da lontano. Villa Valguarnera, Bagheria, Sicily. La Reggia tra le ville Principesche. Edificata nel 1714 per volontà della principessa Marianna del Bosco Gravina, moglie del Principe Emanuele Valguarnera, è uno dei primi esempi di architettura neoclassica. I vani del piano nobile sono decorati con scene mitologiche e paesaggi dell'Interguglielmi, del Semerario, dei fratelli Fumagalli e del Velasquez.
Tanti gli ospiti che si sono succeduti in questa reggia da Maria Carolina d'Austria moglie di Ferdinando III di Borbone, a Goethe, Stendhal. Tra gli ultimi discendenti che l'abitarono, la famiglia della scrittrice Dacia Maraini che vi trascorse la sua adolescenza e in seguito vi ambientò due dei suoi romanzi La lunga vita di Marianna Ucria e Bagheria ed un film L'amore coniugale. La villa è stata set di altri film come I cavalieri dalle maschere nere di Mercanti, La dea Fortuna di Ozpetek, Anna di Ammaniti. Ha ispirato Tornatore per lo spot di Dolce e Gabbana interpretato da Sofia Loren. |
