This is the photograph of Bijoy Krishna Goswami (1841-1899), a renowned Bengali Vaishnav (in Hinduism, a sect devoted towards the life and teachings of Lord Vishnu) saint of India. He was born at Dahakul in the district of Nadia. A devoted member of the Brahmo Samaj in the early part of his life, he later became a devotee of Lord Vishnu. He also came in contact with saints like Ramakrishna, Trailanga Swami and Lokenath Brahmachari.He entered into Mahasamadhi (died or final liberation) in 1899 AD. More information about the saint can be obtained from the following book published in Bengali language: “Bharater Sadhak – Sadhika (Volume 1).
