Summary
[edit]DescriptionVictoria-Barracks-15-cm-sFH-13-L14-2.jpg |
A gun near Victoria Barracks, Melbourne, Australia. The gun is labeled as Turkish 5.9 inch howitzer, captured on 8 Nov 1917 during the offensive against Gaza-Beersheba line. Apparently a German-built 15 cm schweres Feldhaubitze 13 (15 cm sFH 13) kurz (L/14). Note that the barrel is drawn back in the recoil position and hence appears shorter than it actually is. |
