Deutsch: Douglas C-124C Globemaster II ( s/n 52-954 ), vermutlich 53rd TCS, 60th TCW, Rhein-Main Air Base, besuchte Giebelstadt Air Base im Juni 1961, und erhielt große Aufmerksamkeit beim unterfränkischen und baden-württembergischen Publikum. Jacken und Mäntel waren angesagt, der Monatswechsel Mai - Juni 1961 schien kühl und feucht gewesen zu sein. Das 4-mot-Transportflugzeug mit der Serial Number s/n 52-954 wurde im Jahr 1961 ausserdem von Ralf Manteufel während des Landeanfluges auf Berlin-Tempelhof Airport in einem SW-Foto festgehalten.
