Description
Deutsch: Schiffe ohne eigenen Antrieb wurden an der Schleusentreppe Niederfinow ab 1914 von 'Treidellokomotiven gezogen. Dieses Verfahren wurde auch beim Schiffshebewerk praktiziert. Es bestand ein umfangreiches Gleisnetz, auf dem bis zu 20 Treidelloks verkehrten. Nach der Aufgabe der unwirtschaftlich gewordenen Schleppschifffahrt wurde das Treidelloksystem in den 1960er Jahren stillgelegt. Eine der Maschinen steht als restauriertes Denkmal auf der Kanalbrücke westlich des Hebewerks.
