Conversation 013-008

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: On October 26, 1971, President Richard M. Nixon and Ronald W. Reagan talked on the telephone from 11:13 am to 11:25 am. The White House Telephone taping system captured this recording, which is known as Conversation 013-008 of the White House Tapes. Reagan called Nixon to complain about international politics and briefly calls Africans "monkeys", eliciting a laugh from Nixon.
