English: The Ruins of Knowsley Farm. Knowsley Farm was situated high above the present Grane Road a short distance along a trackway built in the 1620s encircling new lands taken in from the moor. This 1620s track branched off the ancient Grane Road where it bent south east to Souter Hill. 499001 Knowsley was at the junction with another old track leading over Oswaldtwistle Moor to Higher Warmwithens and Oswaldtwistle |
