Summary
[edit]DescriptionThe New Berlage Chair.jpg |
English: The New Berlage is a theatre chair with multiple functions. The curvaceous slender 3D sitting tilts backwards; creating an active and passive sitting position within a right angled frame. The design forms a symbiosis between H.P. Berlage’s principles and contemporary design. Red wool padded upholstery incorporates a geometric flower motif by Berlage. The New Berlage offers stack-ability and joining solutions. Stacking through the frame the chair legs are “enclosed” within. The armrest functions as a joining mechanism, using an invisible “clamp” within the armrest to link the rows. The combination of these elements presents functionality and speaks about the proficiency of the design |
