WRIGHT.—At 307 Sherboume Street, onTuesday, 7th of March, Henry H. Wright,M.D., a^ed 82 years. Such was the death notice that met the eyes of the readers of ourdaily papers on the 9th of March. Quietly and peacefully therehad slept away to his reward one of the oldest and most respectedof Canadas practitioners, Dr. Henry H. Wright. Death could hardly MEDICINE AND SURGERY. 271 be said to have been unexpected, as the old gentleman had not beenengaged in active work for some time past. Thus has beenextinguished one of the medical beacon lights of Canada, a stampof a man of whom there are too few left. He was indeed a manbeloved by thousands, one who did good alike by his skill and hisgenerous heart. It is related of him that he worked for the good of his fellowsrather than for the increase of worldly wealth. Many incidentsmight be related where a consideration of the poverty of hispatients resulted in the entire abolition of fees. Thousands ofTorontonians can testify to this. He was a
