Português: Caricatura de Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro que traça paralelos entre os teatros e a política. Neste caso, Manuel Vaz Preto Geraldes do partido Constituinte, é denominado como "O Paganini 'Preto' da situação" e toca violino em concerto. É acompanhado ao piano por outro membro do seu partido. O motivo será seduzir o governo em posse (do partido Progressista) através do seu violino. Este instrumento musical é o corpo (caixa de ressonância), pernas (mentonière), pescoço (braço) e cabeça (cravelhame) de Ernesto Hintze Ribeiro, uma das figuras mais importantes do partido Progressista. A "música" não funciona e o público - Anselmo Braancamp (Presidência e Estrangeiros) e Adriano de Abreu Cardoso Machado (Eclesiásticos e Justiça), dorme ("O Governo, para fingir que gosta e que o não ouve, resona").
