Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Struncheon Hill Lock west of Hempholme, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The upstream approach to Struncheon Hill Lock, the weir to the right. there seems to be some controversy over the name, the Environment Agency preferring Hempholme Lock, the canal-knowledgeable locals apparently preferring Struncheon Hill Lock. Some work still remains to be done to connect Driffield at the northern terminus with the navigable system. The upper parts of the River Hull and the Driffield Navigation are looked after by the Driffield Navigation Trust - http://www.driffieldnavigation.co.uk/
