English: Snow Lichen (Stereocaulon ramulosum) spotted in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, Tasmania. This bushy lichen is commonly found in the Southern Hemisphere and is distinguished by the fact that its fungal component coexists with two photosynthetic organisms: green algae and cyanobacteria. The brown bodies at the branch tips represent the fruiting bodies of the fungus.
