English: Sproatley Courthouse, Sproatley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Combined police station and magistrates' room for the Middle Division of Holderness at the junction of Aldbrough Road and Burton Constable Road, Sproatley, built in 1849 to designs by H. F. Lockwood of Hull on land given to the village by Sir Thomas Constable. The police station was discontinued in about 1970 and magistrates last met at Sproatley in 1995. The building stood empty in 1999 but is now in use again, possibly as a private house. |
