Description
English: U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Andrew Smolter, a combat engineer from 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, U.S. Navy Seabees from Construction Battalion Maintenance Unit 202, and members of the Guatemala Brigada de Infanteria de Marina (BIM) engineers, help to remodel the Biblioteca Municipal Corporacion 74-78. The BIM engineers along with their U.S. counterparts help renovate the local library as part of a humanitarian engineering project in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, Aug. 1, 2014. The Marines and Sailors are helping to remodel buildings in support of Southern Partnership Station 2014, a combined joint exercise focused on subject matter expert exchanges with partner nations and security forces as well as military to military engagements and community relations projects in Central America.
